The pole is laminated. Total height is about 170cm (67″) The clock only registered hours and seconds. Jim had said that due to the weight of the wooden hands, the first 30 seconds of a minute were fast, while during the second 30 seconds, the hand struggled to get back to 12. “The minute was accurate though!”
